It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Vernon, RN, MA, CPNP, DCNP, FAANP, FSDNP, a cherished member of the SDNP community. Peggy served as our board treasurer and was honored as a Fellow of the SDNP. In April, she received the SDNP Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing her exceptional contributions to dermatology nursing. 

Peggy's dedication to education was evident through her role as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Regis University, where she mentored countless students. She also led the SDNP Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification Review Course, demonstrating her commitment to advancing dermatology nursing practice. 

 Beyond her professional achievements, Peggy was the founder of Creekside Skin Care, embodying her mission to provide compassionate and comprehensive skin care.  

Peggy's legacy of excellence, leadership, and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
